The Manchester Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) recently approved preliminary plans for a 26-unit housing development on Bidwell Street.
In a 5-2 vote last week, the town PZC approved preliminary site development plans for a 26-unit townhouse development at 30 Bidwell St., a currently vacant 2.64-acre lot, proposed by Hari Kuppuraj.
Kuppuraj told the commission in an earlier meeting that he wants to build four buildings with 26 units plus 61 parking spaces. According to preliminary plans, each building will be 25 feet tall and contain between six to seven units. Each unit will be two stories and have two bedrooms.
The property will also have outdoor recreation space for residents.
The commission also approved a zone change for the property from “rural residence” to “planned residential development zone.” The zone change will be effective on March 14.
According to town regulations, Kuppuraj now has to provide a detailed site development plan for approval before the project moves forward.
