The Sears store at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester is set to close on Jan. 24 and a store-closing and liquidation sale are in progress.
Sears has yet to officially announce the closing but the Manchester store was listed among six locations nationwide scheduled to be liquidated by Massachusetts-based SB360 Capital Partners. The other stores set to close were in Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and White Plains, New York. Â

The Buckland Hills Sears store occupies 145,800 square feet at the Manchester retail center, according to the Journal Inquirer.
Sears Holdings, which owned Sears and Kmart, exited bankruptcy in February 2019 and has since closed hundreds of stores. The company operated just 182 Sears and Kmart stores at the end of February, down from 400 a year earlier and 1,000 two years ago.Â
