Manchester logistics center wins approvals for 80,000-sq.-ft. expansion

A logistics warehouse in Manchester has won approvals for an almost 80,000-square-foot expansion, according to documents from the town.

SupportPlus Group LLC, which is owned by The Champlin Company and operates the iHUB Packaging & Logistics facility at 151 Batson Drive, is proposing a 79,850-square-foot addition to the site that will almost double its capacity, according to plans submitted by the company. The company uses the 97,000-square-foot building on the 9.6-acre property as a warehouse to handle packing and logistics for aerospace, manufacturing and industrial clients.

Last week, Supportplus Group LLC was awarded an inland wetlands permit and a special exception modification from the town and had its erosion and sedimentation control plan approved.

The addition will be attached to the existing building via a small connection walkway. The company said that a majority of the new interior space will be warehouse space, except for new restrooms and a utility room. Five new loading bays are proposed for the addition.
