Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will visit two tourist attractions in Greenwich and Stamford today, seeking to draw attention to the state’s $11.5-billion tourism industry, his office announced.
Malloy will visit the Bruce Museum in Greenwich and the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. He will also make an appearance at the Connecticut Welcome Center on I-95 northbound in Darien, which reopened in June after a one-year construction project.
Malloy’s announcement noted that Connecticut’s tourism industry employs 110,000 people and saw employment growth of 3.9 percent in 2012.
