At 1:30 p.m. today, Gov.-elect Dan Malloy is expected to make a major appointment to his new administration.
Malloy already has named his chief of staff, commissioner of the Department of Public Health, the head of the Department of Administration Services, the head of the Office of Policy & Management and the commissioner of public safety.
With his inauguration coming Jan. 5, Malloy still has several administration appointments to make – such as the head of the state Department of Transportation – but he has previously stated he is conducting a nationwide search for several positions that could last well into the start of his administration.
The announcement today will be made at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.
