Small Business Express, which Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s administration created two years ago, has provided loans to 1,015 Connecticut companies, the governor’s office announced.
Malloy said the program, which so far has cost $136 million, helped those companies retain and create 14,014 jobs.
The announcement comes as the governor is pushing legislation that would provide continued funding for the program.
