Gov. Dannel P. Malloy on Wednesday highlighted the new green design and energy efficient features of the Greene-Hills School in Bristol.
The facility has features including solar panels and geothermal heating, along with a design meant to maximize the school’s use of energy.
Earlier this month, Malloy unveiled the state’s new comprehensive energy strategy, which includes increasing the use of renewable power and making Connecticut buildings more energy efficient.
Greene-Hills School is also one of the 10 sites for the state’s new family resource centers, designed to offer services to families in need.
