Malloy appoints four to CRDA

Gov. Dannel Malloy announced Thursday his four appointees to the newly formed Capitol Region Development Authority (CRDA).

Malloy’s appointees are: Andy Bessette, executive vice president and chief administrative office of the Travelers Companies, Inc., Suzanne Hopgood, president and CEO of the Hopgood Group, LLC, David J. Jorgensen, financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and Pamela Trotman Reid, president of the University of Saint Joseph.

The CRDA is a panel that aims to stimulate job growth and strengthen economic development in the Greater Hartford region. The 13 member group will hold its first meeting on July 17 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in Room 11 on the sixth floor of the Connecticut Convention Center.
