Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s office said he has appointed Elease E. Wright to the state’s Board of Regents for Higher Education.
Wright retired from Hartford health insurer Aetna in 2012, where she was senior vice president of human resources. She fills a seat on the 15-member board previously held by René Lerer.
Wright is also a board member of the UConn Foundation and the National Academy of Human Resources.
The regents act as the governing body for state’s community-technical college system, the Connecticut State University System and Charter Oak State College.
