A national wealth management company has opened its first office in Connecticut, in the luxury waterfront Shippan Landing at 208 Harbor Drive in Stamford.
The new office, which opened this month, is part of Bernstein Private Wealth Management’s recent expansion, the company said.
“Bernstein has been operating in the Connecticut and Westchester markets and building a significant network of client relationships for decades, and we’re excited to deepen our commitment to the local community with a dedicated office presence,” said Rick Meyers, Bernstein’s head of client and advisory.
The company also has offices in New York City and Boston.
“Our clients in the region will continue to enjoy the world-class resources and global reach of our New York operation while having convenient access to our financial advisers in their own backyard,” Meyers said.
The new office will be led by Managing Director Jim Murphy, who is from Rye, N.Y. and lives in Darien.
Bernstein Private Wealth Management is a unit of AllianceBernstein, a global investment management firm. As of January 31, AllianceBernstein had $680 billion in assets under management.Â
