Major CT credit union rebrands

Middletown-based Seasons Federal Credit Union is rebranding under a new name.

Starting today, it is known as Ellafi Federal Credit Union.

“Ella” means woman in Spanish and “fi” stands for financial institution. Greyfound Design led the rebranding effort.

The credit union is celebrating its 90th anniversary and has been known as Seasons for the last 20 years.

The rebranding will “better serve its members and community,” the credit union said.

The credit union’s mission centers on providing financial independence and economic resilience for women and people who support them.

“More than a name change, this transformation reflects a commitment to closing financial gaps, fostering independence, and helping members thrive at every stage of their financial journey,” the nonprofit financial institution said.

All current members will continue to receive service without any changes to their accounts.
