Major CT chamber announces leadership transition

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut announced a leadership transition and its 2026 board of directors during its annual meeting March 25.

Megan Gilbert was appointed president, advancing from her role as vice president, while Tony Sheridan will remain chief executive officer. The change follows a board-approved succession plan.

Gilbert, who joined the chamber in 2012 and has served as vice president since 2020, has been involved in operations, member services and strategic initiatives, including development of the Regional Innovation Center. In her new role, she will take on expanded responsibility for organizational management, programs and stakeholder engagement.

Sheridan, who has led the chamber since 2004, will continue overseeing strategy, public policy efforts and relationships with members and regional partners.
