Robert L. Howard Jr., a partner with Glastonbury CPA firm Mahoney Sabol & Co., died Monday at Hartford Hospital after sustaining fatal injuries in a motocross accident over the weekend, according to the firm.
“Our whole firm is saddened by this horrible tragedy,” Jim Mahoney, managing partner of Mahoney Sabol, said in a statement. “We have lost an exceptional colleague, leader, and friend in Rob. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his wife, his children, and his whole family.”
Howard, who joined Mahoney Sabol earlier this year after working at Grant Thornton, was a member of the Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty class of 2007.
He was president of the Central Cycle Club.
