Avon’s Magellan Health Services Inc. has tapped former Cigna Corp. executive Sam K. Srivastava to helm the new post of chief executive officer of Magellan Plan Services.
Srivastava, 46, will report to Magellan Health Services CEO Barry M. Smith when he starts the job Monday.
Srivastava had been in executive leadership and had profit and loss responsibility for Cigna’s commercial and government businesses.
Before joining Cigna in 2007, he was chief senior products officer for HealthNet Inc. For a decade before that, he had senior roles with UnitedHealth Group’s commercial, Medicare and Medicaid business segments.
