Magellan Health Services
of Avon posted 2006 earnings of $86.3 million on revenue of $1.7 billion. Both were drops from the $130.6 million in income and $1.8 billion in revenue it posted in 2005. Fourth quarter profit was $22.5 million, or $0.58 per diluted share, on revenue of $461.3 million. In the fourth quarter of 2005, the company posted income of $52.2 million and revenue of $436.4 million. Magellan manages specialty health care services such as behavioral health and radiology, for government agencies, health plans and corporations.
