Less than a month after announcing a deal to acquire Partners Rx, Avon’s Magellan Health Services said the transaction is complete.
Magellan bought the Scottsdale, Ariz., pharmacy benefits management company for $100 million in cash. Partners has more than 300,000 covered lived and anticipated 2013 revenue of $240 million.
Magellan said the deal adds scale, relationships and pharmacy benefits expertise to its existing medical pharmacy and specialty pharmacy capabilities.
