The Madison Foundation’s Neighbor to Neighbor Fund will receive $17,450 for its participation in the Home Energy Solutions program.
The money will be used to help residents of Madison who need energy related financial assistance.
The money was donated through a promotion by Energy Resource Group and New England Conservation Resources. Beginning in October, the home improvement companies made donations of $75 for each home they assessed that signed up for Home Energy Solutions service in the first 60 days of the promotion, $50 in the next 60 days, and $25 for every home that does so from now until October.
Home Energy Solutions is designed to help Connecticut residents save money on energy bills by having utility-authorized energy specialists come to homes or apartments and install energy efficient products and perform weatherization services.
