The Charter Medical Ltd. unit of Manchester-based Lydall Inc. named one of Lydall’s veteran sales-marketing managers to deepen its push into the life sciences market.
Joe Petrosky is now Charter Medical’s vice president of global sales and marketing, overseeing its growth and product innovation, company officials said.
Charter Medical, based in Winston-Salem, N.C., makes and sells products for storing and transporting blood and other biological fluids used in the medical and pharmaceutical markets.
Lydall’s specialty is producing thermal/acoustical materials and filtration/separation products.
Lydall CEO Dale Barnhart said Lydall recently has made “significant capital and product development investments” at Charter Medical. Barnhart did specify how much money Lydall has invested.
Petrosky began his career with Lydall’s filtration/separation business in April 1999 as an account manager. Shortly after, he was promoted to market and sales manager for the liquid filtration business and held a number of other roles until his most recent position as director of North American sales for Lydall’s performance materials business, Lydall said.
He has a degree in industrial engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Northeastern University.
