Loss of workers puts Hartford parking garages in red

The loss of MetLife is going to leave wide swaths of open space in city-run parking facilities downtown, putting two Hartford Parking Authority garages – Church Street and MAT – in the red because of lost revenue. But an agreement made with Prudential Financial should help fill those gaps, as Prudential expects to move more than 400 workers into the garages over the next few years. With current parking projections, the Church Street and MAT garages expect to report a two-year combined revenue deficit of more than $700,000.
