A London company has acquired a Norwalk firm that specializes in post-sale warranties.
Domestic & General Group had agreed to acquire Norwalk-based After Inc., which was previously owned by Galway Holdings. After Inc. also has operations in Louisville, Kentucky and employs about 100 people.
D&G sells appliance care plans that protect consumers against unexpected costs of appliance repairs and replacements in 12 countries across Europe, Australia and the United States.
D&G said the acquisition will help accelerate the company’s expansion into the U.S. warranty market.
The U.S. extended warranties market is estimated to be worth $58.63 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow to $63.80 billion in 2025, according to globenewswire.com.
