Several Connecticut businesses will take part in the second annual Manufacturing and Engineering Job Fair Friday in Hartford with the goal of helping city residents launch or advance in their careers.
The job fair, sponsored by MakerspaceCT, will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at 36 Talcott St., in Hartford.
Some businesses participating include: bmiCAD; Axis Laser; Pursuit Aerospace; Robert E. Morris; Theaterworks; Novo Precision; S & S Centerless Grinding; Kamatics; Westbrook Products; Apollo Professional Solutions; TRN Staffing Logan Steel; and Fuss & O’Neill.
Job categories companies are looking to fill include computer aided design; 3D printing operations; material handling; and environmental planning, among others.
In a statement, MakerspaceCT Executive Director Devra Sisitski said: “Connecticut offers fantastic job opportunities in manufacturing and engineering. Now is the perfect time to pursue, switch, or kickstart a career in these dynamic and fulfilling fields.”
