William Huhn, a member of Women & Family Life Center’s advisory board, said that under Liza Petra’s six-year leadership, the Women & Family Life Center has become Guilford’s most effective and creative nonprofit organization.
Founded in 1990, the Women & Family Life Center mission is to “help women and families meet the challenges of daily living and personal development through education, enrichment, support and referral services.” The organization offers a number of programs and activities to women and families in a safe and supportive environment.
Under Petra’s leadership, the number of people served last year grew by 30 percent.
