Lincoln Tech to launch new medical assistant training program at East Windsor campus

Citing the need for qualified healthcare positions, Lincoln Educational Services Corp. – parent company of Lincoln Technical Institute – announced Thursday it would be introducing medical assistant training at its East Windsor location.

“The medical assistant care field is growing at one of the fastest rates in our state,” East Windsor Campus President Kevin Clark said in a statement. “Offering this program at this time is incredibly relevant given the need within Connecticut, and across the entire Northeast.”

Lincoln operates 22 campuses in 14 states under four brands: Lincoln Technical Institute, Lincoln College of Technology and Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts and Sciences. Lincoln also operates Lincoln Culinary Institutes in Connecticut and Maryland. It has three Connecticut campuses: On Newberry Road in East Windsor and in New Britain and Shelton.

Lincoln Tech announced that on-campus student housing is available and that the new program will launch Nov. 30. The program, officials said, can be completed in about nine months. The school said day and evening class options are available.
