For-profit educator Lincoln Technical Institute will debut a dedicated classroom at its East Windsor campus to train workers for the retail automotive-repair and tire-sales division of one of Japan’s leading tiremakers.
Lincoln Tech CEO Scott Shaw on Wednesday will join school staff and officials from Bridgestone Retail Services, its training partner since 2017, at Lincoln’s campus from 10 a.m. to noon at 97 Newberry Road for a classroom ribbon-cutting and tour.
In the last two years, Lincoln says that more than 200 of its graduates have been hired for positions at Bridgestone retail store locations around the country —Â including almost 20 from the East Windsor campus.
Based in West Orange, N.J., Lincoln Tech’s other Connecticut campuses are in New Britain and Shelton.
Bridgestone operates the Firestone Complete Auto Repair, Tires Plus and WheelWorks brands.
