Lincoln Financial Group, with operations in Hartford, today announced that Anant Bhalla is the new corporate treasurer and head of risk management, effective immediately.
Bhalla, who previously held the same posts at Ameriprise Financial, will oversee the Philadelphia financial services company’s corporate finance, corporate insurance, treasury operations, liquidity management, enterprise risk and capital management, economic capital and pricing oversight.
He reports to Randy Freitag, Lincoln’s chief risk officer.
“Anant Bhalla’s experience in treasury and strategic analysis, coupled with his extensive corporate finance and risk management background, makes him the ideal person to serve as treasurer for Lincoln Financial,” said Fred Crawford, Lincoln executive vice president and chief financial officer,.
Bhalla has a degree in business administration from the University of Madras in Chennai, India, and an MBA from the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research in Mumbai, India.
