Liberty Bank promotes Minnie Saleh to Senior EVP

Longtime banking executive Minnie Saleh has been promoted at the Middletown-based Liberty Bank to the role of senior executive vice president.

Saleh joined Liberty Bank in June 2015 and most recently served as chief retail banking officer.

David W. Glidden, president and CEO of Liberty Bank, said in an announcement, “At Liberty Bank, we take pride in recruiting and retaining the best-of-the-best in the industry. Over nearly three decades, Minnie has deservedly earned that reputation in the industry, in the region and right here among her teammates at Liberty Bank.” 

Saleh leads more than 400 employees in Liberty’s retail branch network, community development, branch operations, government banking, business solutions and Liberty Bank Investment Services.

She graduated from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass. and the Consumer Bankers Association’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management.

Edgewell names new board member

Edgewell Personal Care Co. of Shelton has appointed Swan Sit to its board of directors.

Sit started serving on the 12 member board on Sept. 2.

John Hunter, board chairman, described Sit as a “seasoned marketing executive” with experience at large consumer companies, including Nike, Revlon, Elizabeth Arden and Estée Lauder. 

Edgewell manufactures an array of personal-care and grooming products, such as Schick and Wilkinson Sword razors.

“Her background is particularly relevant and helpful as we execute our near and long-term strategic priorities,” Hunter said.

Swan currently serves as a consultant at Swan Sit LLC to various public and private companies advising on digital, marketing, brand and media strategies. 

Sit has a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School, and she graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in economics.
