The Travelers Championship and MahoneySabol raised over $40,000 for the ALS clinic at the Hospital for Special Care through its charity 5K race. More than 600 runners and volunteers recently gathered at TPC River Highlands for the event.

Cox recently awarded Cox Communications scholarships to eight Connecticut high school seniors at the Connecticut State Capitol. The students each received $2,000 for their academic excellence, community involvement and their desire to pursue a degree in communications, telecommunications, technology or engineering.

Simsbury Bank was the presenting sponsor of the Downtown YMCA's seventh Annual Mission in Motion cycle-a-thon in downtown Hartford.
