During the summer of 2009, LexisNexis collaborated with Hands on Hartford to perform several projects at three Hartford public elementary schools.
At Maria Sanchez Elementary School, volunteers built wooden benches and planters for the outdoor playground and painted sports figure silhouettes in the gymnasium. Fred D. Wish Elementary School volunteers landscaped the grounds and painted a mural of the school’s mascot and motivational murals inside the auditorium. And, at John C. Clark Elementary School, volunteers painted the school conference room, including a “Get Motivated” slogan on one wall, and landscaped the front of the school.
