Level99, the interactive gaming and dining venue backed by Panera Bread founder Ron Shaich, plans to hire about 100 workers for its new West Hartford location ahead of its opening later this fall.
The Natick, Massachusetts-based company will hold four weeks of in-person job fairs beginning Sept. 28, with openings spanning entertainment and food and beverage positions. Level99 described the jobs as offering competitive wages.
All of the jobs are listed as either full time or part time, though the company prefers to fill them full time, a Level99 spokesperson said.
Hourly pay ranges from $18.50 to $25, depending on the role and the applicant's experience, the spokesperson said. Tipped positions start at Connecticut's tipped minimum wage — $8.23 an hour for bartenders and $6.38 for servers and support staff — before gratuities.
The hiring center will be located in the former Saks OFF 5th space at 1437 New Britain Ave., next to World Market at Corbin’s Corner. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the week of Sept. 28, then Monday through Saturday through Oct. 24.
Level99 said job listings will be posted on its website and Indeed on Friday, Sept. 18.
The 43,000-square-foot venue will occupy the second floor of The Corbin Collection at 1427 New Britain Ave. It will feature 44 challenge rooms and six head-to-head games, with capacity for up to 600 players.
Level99 offers team-based physical and mental challenges in which groups of two to six players move through timed puzzle and skill rooms.
The West Hartford location also will include Two Roads Kitchen and Tap, a 250-seat restaurant and bar operated in partnership with Stratford-based Two Roads Brewing.
Founded by CEO Matt DuPlessie, Level99 operates venues in Natick; Providence, Rhode Island; Tysons, Virginia; and Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The company plans to open additional locations in Paramus, New Jersey; Raleigh, North Carolina; and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, in 2027.
Level99 is backed by Act III Holdings, an investment firm founded by Shaich, who also serves as chairman of Cava.
