West Hartford-based Legrand North America has acquired QMotion, which specializes in advanced shading systems. QMotion will become part of Legrand’s North American Building Control Systems business. No financial details were announced.
QMotion’s window shading systems will integrate with the lighting control and automation solutions offered by Legrand. The Florida-based company said in a statement the acquisition creates a more comprehensive portfolio of advanced solutions that provide energy efficiency and lighting control for residential and light-commercial applications.
QMotion Advanced Shading Systems manufactures automated window coverings that are assembled in the United States and sold by a network of dealers and partners. QMotion manufactures motor-control assemblies for automated window coverings that are integrated and sold by fabricators around the world.
