Westbrook-based manufacturer Lee Co. has purchased a vacant industrial building in Beacon Falls for $3.69 million as part of its expansion, according to Godin Property Brokers LLC, which was involved in the deal.
The building at 38 Lancaster Drive has 30,100 square feet of floor space and a 4,800-square-foot mezzanine, according to the town’s property card. Lee Co. announced in August that it planned to acquire a roughly 35,000-square-foot facility in Beacon Falls, but did not disclose its address or purchase price at the time.
Lee Co. said the Beacon Falls facility would house employees and equipment from Petron Automation, a Watertown precision machining company whose assets Lee Co. began acquiring earlier this year. Lee Co. manufactures miniature valves, pumps and other components used in aircraft, medical equipment, automobiles and industrial machinery.
Ed Godin represented the seller in the property sale. Gerry Matthews of Matthews Commercial represented Lee Co., according to Godin.
