Leading in a time of crisis

The human and economic suffering brought on by the coronavirus pandemic has been startling.

Connecticut alone has seen more than 38,400 confirmed COVID-19 cases and nearly 3,500 deaths associated with the disease.

But as the state begins to get the virus under better control, at least for now, it’s time to gradually reopen the economy and get people back to work, albeit in a safe and cautious manner.

Employers are ready to restart the engine of commerce and lead the way for adapting to the new normal, implementing extensive safety measures to keep their workers and customers safe.

In recognition of the important role employers will play in Connecticut’s economic recovery, the Hartford Business Journal and New Haven Biz invited CEOs from around the region to pen letters highlighting their support for the business community and the state as we work together to solve this highly critical situation and return Greater Hartford to maximum health and prosperity in the near future.

We’ve compiled those letters in this special digital publication called, “Leadership in a Time of Crisis.”

These employers are committed to rebuilding Connecticuts’ economy by working to get people back to work in the safest and most effective way possible, which will pave the way for an economic recovery in the Nutmeg State.
