Lazowski officially joins Holocaust council

After being nominated by President Barack Obama last year for a five-year term on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, Alan B. Lazowski, chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking, has been sworn in, LAZ announced.

Created by Congress 35 years ago, the 63-member council commemorates the Holocaust and also acts as the board of trustees for the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Lazowski, the son of Holocaust survivors, is founding chairman of Voices of Hope, which shares experiences of survivors.

He is also a member of the Anti-Defamation League’s national executive committee and a board member of the Greater Hartford Jewish Federation and the Hebrew Home and Hospital. He chairs the Chabad of Greater Hartford.
