Hartford-based LAZ Parking has created a partnership with an electric vehicle charging software provider with the aim of deploying smart EV charging across the company’s properties.
The strategic development agreement will see Epic Charging’s charging station management system integrated into LAZ’s parking facilities nationwide, potentially reaching 50,000 parking spots over the next five years.
These include facilities at hotels, airports, municipal garages, commercial properties and surface lots.
Epic Charging says its platform enables monitoring, maintenance, payment processing and data analytics, to maximize yield on both parking and EV charging revenue streams.
“Soon, every parking space will need to support EV charging, and our partnership with Epic Charging is a critical step toward making that vision a reality,” said Alan Lazowski, chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking. “This is the foundation for a much larger transformation that will redefine the role of parking in the mobility ecosystem.”
LAZ was founded in 1981 and operates over 1.6 million parking spaces in over 4,000 locations in 42 states, as well as Canada.
