Lawyer Staron named to estate-planning group

Lisa P. Staron of the law firm Murtha Cullina LLP has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford Inc. (EBPC Hartford). She will serve a two-year term.

EBPC Hartford is an association of professionals who specialize in estate and financial planning for individuals and businesses.

As an attorney in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department, Staron’s practice includes estate, tax and business-succession planning, and estate and trust administration.

Staron is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Connecticut and received her law degree (tax concentration with honors) from Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Also at Murtha Cullina, William F. Fitzgerald has joined the firm as counsel. He represents clients in the areas of entertainment and sports law and provides transactional and litigation services to the entertainment and sports industries. Fitzgerald received his JD from City University of New York School of Law and a BA from Bethany College.

The American Pet Products Association (APPA) has promoted Julia Fidenzio of Westchester, N.Y. to vice president of government affairs and general counsel. A 14-year veteran of the organization, Fidenzio most recently served as senior counsel and director of industry relations. In her new role, she will oversee all legal, regulatory and legislative activities for APPA.
