A New Haven County-based law firm has expanded into Fairfield County with a new satellite office in Bridgeport.
The firm, Parrett, Porto, Parese & Colwell, is headquartered in Hamden, and already has a satellite office in Guilford.
Its new office is at 1000 Lafayette Blvd., Suite 1100, in close proximity to Bridgeport-based state and federal courthouses.
According to the firm, which has some 16 attorneys, the expansion allows it to better serve its clients in Fairfield County.
Managing Partner Carl Porto said the Bridgeport satellite office opened in July. It currently isn’t staffed full-time, but rather serves as a meeting place for the firm’s attorneys and clients.

“We have a statewide practice,” Porto said. “We have a number of lawyers with clients in that (Fairfield County) area, and it is a place for them to meet, and a shorter ride for our clients.”
The firm handles a variety of legal matters, such as zoning and land use, foreclosure, real estate transactions, labor and employment, trusts and estates, divorce, and criminal law, for example, according to its website.
