Law firm allies with minority boutique

Hartford-based Day Pitney has entered into a strategic alliance with a minority-owned law boutique. Trying to be more attractive to corporate law departments that want their outside counsel to have strong minority representation, Day Pitney said it is partnering with the Washington, D.C.-based firm Gray Haile. The firms will remain separate, but will work together on corporate law matters. By June, both firms plan to be working physically from one office in Washington.
