Bioscience Collaborative picks new leaders
John Houston, president and CEO of Arvinas, has been named the new chair of the New Haven Regional Bioscience Collaborative.
The collaborative is an industry-led group, formed from the Governor’s Workforce Council, which focuses on three goals, including building a pipeline of talent, increasing awareness of the life sciences sector and expanding connections across the bioscience community.
“It is an honor to partner with an incredible group of individuals on common goals for the life-science industry in Connecticut, especially in New Haven,” Houston said.
Erika Smith, CEO of ReNetX Bio, was named vice chair.
The collaborative launched a campaign last year as part of a concerted effort to continue to grow the bioscience sector, and it includes an internship program to attract more people to the industry.
