Las Vegas-based sandwich shop chain expands to CT

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop will open its first Connecticut eatery in a “convenient” location on April 29.

It will be inside a recently opened Noble Gas station convenience store at 190 Elm St. in Enfield.

Capriotti’s has partnered with Noble Gas Inc. to open its first three sandwich shops in the state.

The other two locations will be in soon-to-open Noble Gas stores in Hamden and Windsor.

Capriotti’s is known for its cheesesteaks; turkey subs with cranberry sauce and stuffing; and “The Capastrami,” a hot pastrami sandwich with Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and homemade coleslaw.

“Each of the three new Capriotti’s coming to Connecticut will be part of Noble Gas’s vision to redefine the convenience store and fueling experience, offering premium food options alongside EV charging, car washes and other amenities,” according to an announcement from Noble Gas.

The trio of sandwich shops will be owned by franchisees James Drazdowsky, a multi-unit franchise operator with more than 10 years of experience, and his wife, Nicole.

“I was drawn to Capriotti’s because of its commitment to quality and its strong corporate support system,” Drazdowsky said. “We’re excited to introduce Connecticut to Capriotti’s, and we believe this partnership with Noble will set a new standard for what guests expect from a convenience store dining experience.”

Noble Gas, an upscale “all-in-one fueling and dining concept,” features electric vehicle chargers at its locations. The company is growing and plans to open additional locations soon.

“Capriotti’s brings best-in-class sandwiches to our customers while aligning with our mission to offer a clean, welcoming and high-class experience,” said Michael Frisbie, co-owner of Noble Gas.

“This partnership is about more than just food; it’s about creating a destination where people want to stop, refuel, and enjoy a great meal from those that care about quality in their communities,” he added.

Currently, the closest Capriotti’s to Connecticut is in Hauppauge, New York.
