Guilford-based label maker Brook & Whittle will continue to make the shoreline community its home.
Belfonti Companies LLC, which is based in Hamden, announced its affiliate, Golden Goose LLC, has extended the company’s lease for its facility at 20 Carter Dr., Guilford.
Terms of the extended lease were not disclosed.
Brook & Whittle makes labels found on a variety of popular consumer products – such as food, beverages, home and personal care items. Barilla Pasta Sauce and Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffees are just a couple of examples.
Mark Pollard, CEO at Brook & Whittle, said the company is “looking forward to continuing” its presence in Guilford.
The company, founded in 1995, employs some 1,000 people and has production facilities in Guilford and North Branford, and in New York, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Tennessee, California and Ohio. The pandemic, which has negatively impacted many companies, has been a period of growth for Brook & Whittle.
Michael Belfonti, CEO of Belfonti Companies, said the company has been a tenant for a decade, and he indicated he is “thrilled” the landlord-tenant partnership will now be long-term.
According to an announcement, the landlord has agreed to expand and upgrade the existing parking lot, with more parking spaces and the addition of new curbs, drainage and retaining walls.
