Bristol amusement park Lake Compounce has revamped its lighthouse water slide attraction for visitors this summer.
The enclosed slide, now known as “Storm Surge,” will feature 30 changing color lights, four speakers and “new thrills,” designed to create a more immersive and engaging experience, park officials said.
Lake Compounce is also opening a new eatery, the Lakeside Café, next to the Venus Vortex water slide over the Memorial Day weekend. The café will serve chicken tenders, fries, salads, hamburgers and veggie burgers.
According to its operational calendar, Lake Compounce will open on weekends starting April 30, with certain weekdays added in May and June. The park will move to a full-week schedule in the last week of June.
