A downtown New Britain office property owned by developer Avner Krohn officially entered the online auction market Monday with a starting bid of $1 million.
The auction for the former post office property at 114 W. Main St. and an adjacent parking lot at 50 Court St. is being hosted on the Ten-X platform and is scheduled to run through May 13.
The fully leased, three-story office building totals 36,189 square feet and includes multiple tenants, according to marketing materials. Krohn previously said his development firm, Jasko Development, plans to lease back roughly 6,000 square feet of office space in the building.
Krohn bought the property for $775,000 in 2022 and renovated it, including upgrades to common areas, bathrooms, lighting, landscaping and building systems. Marketing materials for the property highlight downtown New Britain’s ongoing redevelopment activity, citing more than 600 nearby apartment units delivered, under construction or planned.
The property sits near several apartment developments completed or underway by Krohn, including The Brit, The Highrailer and the planned Strand redevelopment project.
Krohn has recently sold multiple downtown New Britain apartment properties as part of what he previously described as a strategy to recycle capital into new projects.
The online auction is being managed by Michael Guidicelli of Regions Commercial LLC on behalf of Krohn.
