Brookfield microchip photomask maker ATMI Inc. promoted Christian F. Kramer to general manager of its microelectronics business.
Kramer, who also gained the title of senior vice president, succeeds Tod Higinbotham, who had run the unit as executive vice president but is no longer with ATMI, authorities say.
Kramer joined ATMI just over two years ago, and has since put a solid imprint on the company, including launching its 3-D Liner and BrightPak products, said CEO Doug Neugold.
Before ATMI, Kramer worked at Tokyo Electron America.
Upon Higinbotham’s exit, he collected a separation package equal to his $344,000 base salary that will be paid in installments over the coming 12 months, plus a $29,800 performance bonus, and health and dental benefits for a year, according to ATMI’s Feb. 12 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
