Farmington accounting-consulting firm Kostin, Ruffkess & Co. LLC has branched into information technology consulting with its purchase of Adnet Technologies Inc. of Farmington.
The deal was completed Aug. 1 for undisclosed terms.
Kostin, Ruffkess, founded in 1949, serves public and private middle-market companies, nonprofits and individuals.
Adnet started in 1991 providing strategic technology and business application consulting and other services to clients, said Adnet CEO Edward Laprade.
In May, Adnet relocated headquarters from 900 Day Hill Road in Windsor to 312 Farmington Ave., next door to the Farmington Exchange. Adnet and its approximately 40 employees are staying put, a spokeswoman said.
Kostin Ruffkess, with another 140 employees, is based about two miles away at 76 Batterson Park Road.
