Knox & Aetna honor Hartford’s Green Heroes

Hartford environmentalists and community advocates came together recently to honor 24 Green Heroes in Hartford. The heroes that were recognized include: Herb Virgo of Family Day Foundation, who created a greenhouse aquaponics system in Hartford’s Keney Park; Mayor Pedro Segarra for his commitment to Hartford’s Green infrastructure; and Charmaine Craig, KNOX’s community outreach director, who was one of 13 environmental role models honored in their 2014 African American History Calendar. Also recognized were green corporate heroes: Travelers, The Hartford, TD Bank, Marsh USA, and Aetna.
