What do you do? Oversee fundraising, membership, communications, marketing, and advertising for the Wadsworth Atheneum, America’s first public art museum.

What do you want to be doing in 10 years? Helping to advance the arts as an important resource in all of our lives, but especially those who do not have access to museums or art education — hopefully I’ll still be doing this at the Wadsworth as I love both the museum and Hartford, but if not, I’ll definitely being making an impact somewhere!

What is your biggest strength? My passion for what I do — I think it helps get me through many of the challenges that nonprofits face right now. I truly love my job and I think that enthusiasm is visible and helpful in convincing others to become involved or even just take an afternoon and visit.

Where do you go for new ideas? I love to visit other museums. My husband and I also love traveling both domestically and abroad — but often many of my best ideas come to me in the middle of the night — and then of course I can’t fall back asleep because my wheels start turning…

What is the best advice you received? Do what you love – regardless of salary because you can’t put a price on your own happiness.

What service or charitable cause has your attention? The Wadsworth Atheneum of course! Seriously though, I try to support the arts scene in Hartford overall, its incredibly vibrant and there is always something interesting happening.
