Kathy’s Urgent Care announced this week that it recently opened its second clinic, in Rocky Hill.
The new location, at 856 Cromwell Ave., is designed to meet the growing need of area residents for timely medical care, especially after hours and on weekends. The first Kathy’s clinic opened in Wethersfield in Aug. 2015 and the two locations rank Kathy’s 10th-largest among Greater Hartford walk-in and urgent care clinics, according to rankings in the latest issue of Greater Hartford Health.
Kathy’s was founded by Dr. Thomas Brown, a board-certified internal medicine and urgent care physician whose experience includes work in hospitals, emergency rooms and as medical director of Doctors Express Urgent Care in West Hartford and Danbury.
Both clinics treat non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses and provide routine preventive care.
