The Air Force modified its order with Kaman Aerospace Group in Bloomfield for another $19.8 million in fuzes for aerial weapons.
The latest order pushes Kaman’s two-year fuze backlog to $159 million, the company said Tuesday.
The Air Force just placed another $23.8 million order in March.
The fuzes are made in Middletown and in Orlando, Fla.

The devices are used to safe and arm gravity and guided “smart” bombs dropped by the fighter and bomber fleets of the U.S. and its allies.
