Kaman’s fresh Air Force order for bomb fuzes

The Air Force modified its order with Kaman Aerospace Group in Bloomfield for another $19.8 million in fuzes for aerial weapons.

The latest order pushes Kaman’s two-year fuze backlog to $159 million, the company said Tuesday.

The Air Force just placed another $23.8 million order in March.

The fuzes are made in Middletown and in Orlando, Fla.
