Kaman widens 737 landing-gear pact

Bloomfield’s Kaman Corp. says it won a subcontract to supply parts kits used to make landing gear for Boeing 737 MAX passenger jets.

Its Kaman Aerosystems unit said Thursday that it inked a deal to make and kit new components and assemblies to Zodiac Interconnect Americas, which produces aircraft landing gear electrical and fluid systems. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

The kits will be fashioned at Kaman facilities in Jacksonville, Fla., and Chihuahua, Mexico, and delivered to Zodiac plants in Chihuahua and Santa Rosa, Calif., said Will Zmyndak, vice president and general manager of Kaman’s Integrated Structures and Metallics Division.

Kaman already provides Zodiac with components used in landing gear Zodiac makes for the 737NG fleet.
