Bloomfield’s Kaman Corp. closed on its previously announced purchase of Zeller Corp., an upstate New York distributor of electrical and automation gear.
Kaman still isn’t saying what it paid for Zeller, of Rochester, N.Y., beyond that Zeller will generate about $80 million in revenues this year. Kaman announced the deal Aug. 13.
Zeller is now part of the Kaman Industrial Technologies Corp. (KIT) division. Zeller President Gary Haseley is now on KIT’s management team as Zellers’ vice president and general manager.
Zeller brands include motion control, programmable logic controller (PLC) based automation, machine vision, electrical controls and power distribution products.
Zeller employs 240. Aside from Rochester, its operations are in Foxborough, Mass.; Syracuse and Buffalo, N.Y.; and Winston-Salem, N.C.
